Description of the installation: It is an area inscribable in a circle with a diameter below 4 meters, wrapped in canvas supported by bamboo canes, pieces of wood, tufa or stone bases, tied with strings and ropes. The height, including the supporting structure, is of approx. 250 cm. Into the inside area, which can be accessed through special entrances, there are a carpet, camping mats and some cushions, in addition to the acoustic diffusers. People can lie down on the mats and relax themselves. Furthermore, there are lighting devices which project light on the canvas.
Description of the audio part: It is a sound layer lasting approximately 60 minutes, which has been reproduced in loop. We recommended sessions of approximately 10 minutes. The composition is based on the use of binaural beats at Theta frequency (4-8 hz). Even if they are not audible and are perceived as vibrations in a binaural environment, those sounds have relaxing and therapeutic powers, and they stimulate the cerebral cortex. Since their pure sound is not particularly pleasant, the sounds are masked by natural sounds deriving from wooden and seaside environments, which, from a psychoacoustic point of view, are also relaxing. The composition is also overlapped by musical bases composed ad hoc and divided in 6 pieces of approx. 10 minutes, each interpreted by 6 different musicians. The audio has been reproduced in 3D-EST 8.0 thanks to one X-spat player, 6 Empire S-500 and two special speakers handmade by Massimo Liverani.
"Keep an ear on..." is the fifth international symposium on soundscape organized by the FKL (Forum Klanglandschaft). In 2011, the conference has been held in Florence (Italy) in collaboration with the Center for Music Research Tempo Reale and the Centre for Contemporary Art EX3, May 19 to 22, 2011

A 3D-EST soundscape composition by Francesco Landucci, spatialized by Luigi Agostini with his X-spat boX2, will complement the latest artwork by Liz Gehrer at Geiger Foundation Exhibition Room from April 23rd to May 29th 2011. The 3D audio playback will be performed using one X-spat player and eight speakers in a custom position chosen by the artist.

Liz Gehrer is a Swiss artist that with her art wishes to show an unusual view of everyday issues, because the day to day is what deserves to be noted, the extraordinary hides within the ordinary. The main themes of her works (sculptures, collages and installations) are vulnerability and at the same time the strength of man and his relations.

Rome, 21st of April 2010. The "Scenography Professional Days" have been held in Rome at the Casa dell'Architettura (Architecture House), a former aquarium and now the Headquarters of the Order of Architects of Rome. The IFSArts team has chosen to organise such a key event in the historical building now occupied by Roman architects. The former Aquarium is a fine example of public architecture, inaugurated in 1887 and situated in the heart of Rome’s historic centre, a short stroll from Termini mainline station. Formerly used as a cinema and as a storage facility for Rome’s Opera House, it was recently restored by the City Council and entrusted to the Order of Architects to use as their base. The restoration work unearthed in its grounds archaeological finds from ancient Rome dating from the 4th century B.C.
Luigi Agostini for A&G Soluzioni Digitali and Umberto Zanghieri for ZP Engineering have spoken about "Architetture sonore tridimensionali per una nuova estetica del suono. A fantastic technical and artistic meeting

Livorno, Italy, January 7-8 2010. Steve Heimbecker and Luigi Agostini have spent two days at Auditorium Chiti of Istituto Musicale Mascagni testing the resident X-spat boX2 24 speakers system with a lot of soundscape and musical compositions created in the last years by the Canadian composer. From the meeting have originated a lot of new ideas and possibilities that will produce events and artistic creations involving the Heimbecker's Turbulence System and X-spat boX2.

Since yesterday evening is available on iTunes my new software for iPhone®, developed as always with the help of my colleague and friend Simone Cercignani. We are talking about a software that let you listen, by headphone, some 3D sound landscape previews of the SD cards for X-spat player by A&G Soluzioni Digitali the same we sell on 3Daudioshop.com. Each software (we will release many more similar) include two soundscapes that can be modified "shaking" the iPhone® or tap-dragging the speakers icons on the interface. The name of the first software is Atmosphere Binaural and the two soundscape compositions included have been recorded and spatialized by me using See'n'Sound LE and played by Stefano Agostini (we are not relatives or parents), famous (because really great) flute player and actual Director of the Istituto Musicale Mascagni in Livorno. On the 22nd and 23rd of October at Real Collegio palace in Lucca, AandG has presented Yoursoundscape project to LuBeC09 (Lucca Beni Culturali, Lucca's Cultural Assets), and the soundscape compositions have been performed by an X-spat player with eight speakers. All the visitors have really appreciated the 3D audio effect using words like "immersive", "amazing" and "incredible". We collect a lot of requests from important museums spread all over Italy seriously interested in installing our system. I will keep you updated in developments...

On the 14th of May, in the Istituto Musicale Mascagni's Auditorium in Livorno, Giulia Amadei at the piano, Fabrizio Balest at doublebass and Valentina Benifei at cello have played on a soundscape composition by Luigi Agostini, "Senti Livorno", while a video by young livornese director Simone Belli was showing amazing views of Livorno city in the background. The music, composed by Luigi, was an original harmonization of some popular and ancient livornese chants. The show was part of the Rassegna di Musica Contemporanea "Suoni Inauditi".

"Vibrazioni Arcane" See'n'Sound LE demo CD

I have just published on Lulu.com an audio CD mixed with my software, See'n'Sound LE, and therefore optimized for headphones listening. "Vibrazioni Arcane" (Arcana Vibrations) is composed by 22 instrumental songs (4.99€/6.28$). Each one is dedicated to a different Tarot's Major Arcana as I have conceived them in my horror novel "Il Giardino dei Tarocchi". This last opera is the one that best represents my actual interests: music, literature and 3D soundscapes.

OpenAL based See'n'Sound. It works only on Mac OSX 10.5.x. The manual is
